Who Am I? My latest Artist Statement

Tiffany Zal likes to be broad about what she does. But put simply, she’s a maker, and a seller, and sometimes when lucky can combine the two. As an artist, creating jewelry becomes the best of both worlds; art that is practical, wearable, personal, and ultimately art that you live in.

Her line of bike part jewelry is unique in that it embodies something else besides just aesthetic. These pieces are created with re-used bike parts and hardware, giving new life, and a new purpose to old things that might otherwise be wasted. Foraged from Free Cycles, and Home Resource, among other places, this jewelry can be worn with pride. It lends itself to Tiffany’s aesthetic by being rustic, earthy, and a little wabi sabi.

New Necklace Design, and links to all my jewelry info

My latest design, to be shown at the first Friday Show in Bathing Beauties Beads(where I work), is inspired by a honeycomb, but made with upcycled brass hardware in the shapes of hexagons. It hangs from a gold filled chain, and the pendant is made with brass and wire wrapped with base metal wire. Make sure to stop by to see it, and other new creations October 6th 5-8pm!

I'll also be selling in the Univeristy of Montana UC holiday craft show the 5-7th and I'll be at the holiday MADE fair on the 8th!
