A friend recently told me that if anyone wants to get a taste of my character, all they have to do is go into my Bedroom. I'm a very expressive person and I let my creativity go wild in my dwelling space. Since moving from the smallest room in our 6 bedroom house( It was literally a cupboard) to the largest, I took free reign to fill every nook and cranny with objects that resonated with me. I decided to take some pictures of my things since my room was unusually tidy this week, plus I recently put some finishing touches together. Keep in mind that nearly everything was bought second hand, or free on the side of the road;)
The small photos were taken when I first moved in and started painting
I kept a few walls blue, but now want to finish them with the golden "Fresh Bread" color I painted the rest of them with, or else a stone/slate color of grey. Just have to find time! Also in the picture above you can see my makeshift wall paper; burlap.
these little gold beaded medallions were bought from Uncommon Objects in Austin, TX; a paradise for antiquers like myself
These curtains I finally sat down and stitched together last night, not only are they an awesome vintage textile, but They keep my room much more insulated because they're wool. Win win!
Below has become a central place for my photoshoots; great lighting, symmetricality, and a great platform for small objects
I just whipped up these awesome cards last night. I pressed a bunch of Smoke Bush leaves years ago and packed them back to MT with me last time I travelled home. I glued them onto these cream colored tags and I'm planning to use them as either business cards, earring cards, or thank you cards for Etsy purchases
Below I used the rest of my tags to make really basic earring cards. I'm going to start selling them in Frayed Sew, located on Reeders Alley in Helena, MT next week, and they require you to put your earrings on cards.
