I was recently presented with the challenge of creating a portfolio to send to Concordia University's Design Program in Montreal. The Design degree is exactly what I've been looking for; a program combining design and art principles with computer technical skills. Not to mention the fact that it's in the heart of Montreal; a beautiful historical city, with lots of diversity, and a plethora of culture.
After making my first portfolio as a word document, I scrapped that for obvious reasons and made a slightly better version in Powerpoint Word. But then I gleefully threw that out the window and started from scratch one final time when I discovered "Prezi" what seems to be the mother of all presentation apps. This great free resource allows you to interact with the presentation, and provides your audience with the ability to zoom in and out and drag the screen where they wish. Such a simple way to dazzle your professors and peers next time you need to do a presentation. This was my first time playing around with it, this is the web version. For the school I actually downloaded it as a file and burned it to a dvd.
check out my end result below;
