First Friday Preschool Art Fundraiser

I've been volunteering all year in my Aunt Judy's preschool class doing art projects with the kids, and finally we had the opportunity to show them off. The Downtown Dance Collective let us use their space for Spirit at Play's annual First Friday fundraiser, where we set up raffles, auctions, and artwork made by the kids.

(These snowmen were made in the fall. I came in and helped the kids arrange theirs on styrofoam to represent "Summer in Missoula")

I was pretty involved this year with the prep work of the show, and so it was great to see the end result of it all coming together. I was set up with my jewelry, giving a portion of the profits to the school, and I also commissioned portraits; parents could sign up to have me draw their children from photos. I got quite a bit of interest since I said I'd only charge $20/ portrait, but I really enjoy doing it, and it would also be beneficial to my portfolio, so I didn't want to overshoot with pricing.
